For Carriers

Work with Midwest Direct.

Midwest Direct is preparing to launch as a licensed property broker serving shippers across the Midwest. We'll work with vetted motor carriers on direct customer loads and loadboard freight — paying fairly, communicating clearly, and treating every booking like a long-term relationship. Reach out now to pre-onboard before our first loads tender.

Authority & credentials

What you need to know before working with us.

Property broker authority

FMCSA authority filed and activating. MC# 71819111 (pending activation) · USDOT# 6131950. Check SAFER for current status — we'll update this page when active.

BMC-84 bonded

$75,000 broker surety bond in process. Once authority is active, your payment protection is real, not hypothetical.

Fast payment

Net 15 from POD & invoice. ACH preferred. No factor required (you can use one if you prefer — we honor your NOA).

Direct dispatch

One number, one inbox. You talk to a human, not a portal. We respond fast because we're sized to.

Carrier requirements

The standards every carrier we book must meet.

Required

  • Active MC operating authority for the freight type carried
  • Auto liability insurance with $1,000,000 combined single limit minimum
  • Cargo coverage with $100,000 per-occurrence minimum
  • Current Certificate of Insurance naming Midwest Direct as certificate holder
  • Satisfactory or unrated FMCSA safety score (not Conditional or Unsatisfactory)
  • Workers' comp / occupational accident insurance as required by your state
  • Signed Broker-Carrier Agreement on file before first load tender

What we look at

  • How recently you've been inspected and what came back
  • Crash and out-of-service history (we pull SAFER)
  • Equipment fit — we tender loads sized to your truck, not the other way around
  • Communication during the booking call. Slow to respond = pass.
  • References from other brokers, when available

How to get set up

Three documents and we're ready to tender you a load.

1. Certificate of Insurance

Have your agent email a current COI listing Midwest Direct as certificate holder. Auto liability + cargo limits must meet the minimums above.

2. Carrier Information Sheet

Completed and signed — covers W-9 info, authority numbers, banking for ACH, and contacts. Reach out and we'll send the template.

3. Broker-Carrier Agreement

Signed standing agreement covering Carmack liability, payment terms, claims process, and non-solicitation. We'll send when you reach out.

Reach out

Carriers interested in working with us — email dispatch and we'll send the onboarding packet the same business day.

Note: Midwest Direct is not currently hiring direct-employee or 1099-contractor drivers. We work exclusively with established carriers under broker-carrier agreements at this time.
